With a lot of tree damage to contend with, Peachtree City is prioritizing its cleanup process.

First to be addressed will be clearing trees that block city streets, including trees that are still standing but are damaged or leaning. The second priority will be removing trees and limbs on the city’s 100 miles of multi-use paths. The final phase will be assisting with the removal of trees that have fallen from city greenbelts onto private property.

As of Sept. 11, the city had responded to 93 emergency calls related to trees hitting power lines and homes or falling into streets and paths, and has received more calls since. Routine public works projects will be suspended until storm damage is cleared.
