The Peachtree City Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or group responsible for a series of recent graffiti tags on public and private property.

A repeat offender has been spray-painting “PETE” on golf cart tunnels, walls, buildings, utility boxes and other structures, mostly on the south side of town and at night. The city says there have been about 15 incidents since December, causing thousands of dollars in damage that must be repainted. The police believe the person or persons responsible live in the city and are of high school age. The reward money was donated by the Auxiliary Police Force, and the city says it will seek restitution for the damage.

Anyone with information should contact Detective Steve Stoyell at sstoyell@peachtree-city.org or 770-487-6010.
