Peachtree City is notifying residents that its adoption of the International Property Maintenance Code requires homeowners to keep their gutters cleaned out. Gutters cannot be allowed to retain water where mosquitoes could breed, or provide space for trees or weeds to sprout.

Gutters aren’t required on houses, but those that exist must be kept clean, operable and securely attached. Code violations can be reported (including anonymously) to 770-631-2588 (option 2, then option 2). Questions can be directed to codeenforcement@peachtree-city.org or 770-487-8866.
