As a result of Tropical Storm Irma, Peachtree City’s recycling center on Rockaway Road will be open 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. through Sept. 16 to accept yard debris such as leaves and fallen limbs.

Residents are asked not to put debris in storm drains or culverts, to prevent future flooding. Dumping in greenbelts is also prohibited. Permits are not required to remove fallen trees on private property; a list of approved tree-removal companies is at www.peachtree-city.org/index.aspx?nid=487. The city is also asking individuals to help clear minor debris from residential streets and multi-use paths.
