The FY2017 budget for Peachtree City’s Convention and Visitors Bureau was approved recently by the City Council. Most of the projected $795,550 of CVB funding will come from the 8 percent hotel/motel tax, 3.5 percent of which goes to the CVB.

Executive Director Jennifer Johnson gave the council an overview of the department’s activities from the past year, which market the city’s venues and amenities for business- and recreation-oriented meetings and events.

Johnson also announced that the city’s visitor center will move to The Avenue shopping center in November for greater accessibility.
