Motorists can expect overnight lane closures in the coming weeks as a contractor begins deep base patching on Buford Highway (Ga. 20) in Forsyth County.
Baldwin Paving Co. Inc. was scheduled to start the project Sunday evening, June 24, and has 90 days to complete the work between Echols Road, milepost 12.11, and Alley Road, milepost 8.04, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Lane closures are allowed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., and the contractor plans to work Sunday nights through Friday mornings, GDOT says. The timetable and days of the week Baldwin will be on site will be subject to weather and the contractor’s schedule.
The project will prepare the road for resurfacing to take place in the spring of 2019.
