A week’s worth of rain notwithstanding, Peachtree City residents may resume outdoor burning starting Oct. 1. Yard waste and similar debris can be burned on weather-appropriate days with permission from the Fire Marshal’s office. Residential burning permits can be obtained at www.peachtree-city.org/burn.
Burning garbage, tires, treated lumber, shingles or petroleum-based products is prohibited. Permits are required for large campfires or bonfires, but not for outdoor cooking on regular charcoal or gas grills. Call 770-631-2526 for details.
