Yes, the centuries-old culture of Greece will be honored in Cobb this weekend with traditional song and goods for sale, but there’s also the food: grilled meats, heaps of hummus, honey-soaked treats.
So get both your dance and your grub on at the Marietta Greek Festival on Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This is the 27th year the Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, 3431 Trickum Road, has hosted the event.

The event is free for children 12 and younger, but adults must pay $5 to enter. Proceeds will go to organizations like the Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity. Also, no animals are allowed unless required by law.
Live entertainment runs from 2 p.m. to nearly 11 p.m. the first two days, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
As for the food, we'll let the menu online speak for itself.
There will be cooking demonstrations throughout the festival and a children’s area with face painting, arts and crafts and a playground.
