Time’s running out for Cherokee County residents to provide input on planned updates to the county’s Comprehensive Transportation Plan. Residents can take an online survey until July 10 at cherokeega.com
County officials call the plan a roadmap for how transportation-of all modes-will develop in Cherokee and said the update will cover vision, goals and objective, existing and future needs and funding strategies.
During two late June public open houses, residents talked about improvement needs along several corridors, including Ga. 20, Ga. 92, the Ga. 92 and Trickum Road intersection, Bells Ferry Road , Towne Lake Parkway, Arnold Mill Road and East Cherokee Drive at Ga. 140.
County transportation officials said the next steps are to incorporate public input and finalize the plan, which is expected to be presented to the Board of Commissioners for adoption this fall.
