Ohio State University’s football team doesn’t yet have a pipeline set up for prospects in Atlanta, but head coach Urban Meyer may be trying to establish one.

The Buckeyes' 2017 squad that went 13-2 and beat the USC Trojans in the Cotton Bowl carried just two Georgians on its roster in Ellenwood's Antwuan Jackson and Lawrenceville's Isaiah Pryor.

Meyer will get to know Atlanta prospects a little bit better on Wednesday at CAU Panther Stadium where he will be a guest coach at Clark Atlanta University’s football camp.

The camp begins at 9 a.m. and is open to players in ninth to 12th grade. The cost is $30. To register, visit clarkatlantasports.com.

Meyer has been the coach at Ohio State since 2012, and in 2014 led the Buckeyes to a national championship with the help of seven Georgians on his roster. Before Ohio State, Meyer coached in the SEC, leading the Florida Gators to a pair of national championships.

The coach's daughter, Nicki, is a former Georgia Tech volleyball player.

Ohio State recently got a commitment from Steele Chambers, a four-star running back from Roswell who helped lead Blessed Trinity to a state title this past year.

The Clark Atlanta Panthers football team finished last season with a 4-6 record. Head coach Kevin Ramsey will also provide instruction at the camp.
