Oglethorpe University received a $5,000 grant from the Governor's Office of Highway Safety to continue a program aimed at fighting alcohol abuse.

The college hosts several programs that explain the dangers of underage drinking, drinking and driving and other activities. The school also plans to buy an online survey so students can enter information about their drinking habits and get feedback about their use.

The state created the Georgia Young Adult Program to help colleges promote safer and healthier campuses.
