An 11-story office building near Georgia Tech is undergoing a nearly $6 million renovation — and a name change.

730 Midtown is now known as Circa 730.

Extensive improvements will made to the lobby, corridors, restrooms and 20,000 square feet of suites, which range from 1,800 to 7,600 square feet, a press release said. Upgrades also include a patio, a bar-restaurant, sculptural suspension swings on a porch and an interactive light art installation.

The news was announced this week by Crestlight Capital and Lincoln Property Company Southeast, which handles leasing, property management and construction management for the building.

Michael Howell, Lincoln’s senior vice president, said the changes are designed to reinvigorate a community that revolves around “Atlanta’s tech-minded and entrepreneur-spirited.”

“Circa 730 is meant to embody the energy and drive of this city’s dynamic startup community, while providing the modern amenities and work-life balance employers and employees have come to expect,” Howell said.

The building was constructed in 1967 and renovated in 2000. It is located at 730 Peachtree St. NW.
