A man believed responsible for an August home invasion in Milton — and similar cases in several other states — has been arrested in Texas. Octavius Scott, 22, of Houston, was caught Dec. 11 by U.S. Marshals at his mother’s home in that city.
In the Aug. 18 Milton case, the victim reported a male suspect invaded her home and tied her to a chair. Suspects then took electronics, jewelry and money before fleeing.
Scott is believed to be the leader of a home invasion ring targeting victims of Asian and Middle Eastern descent. He remains jailed in Houston and also is wanted in connection to other crimes in Michigan, New Jersey, New York and Texas.
