Norcross released details Monday to obtain bids for the construction of a parking deck on Buford Highway that will serve as a gateway transition to Lillian Webb Park near downtown. The bid follows the announcement last week of the city’s plan to use eminent domain to purchase the building housing Plaza Latina, a popular Hispanic marketplace.
The combination of surface parking and parking deck will be developed on a 1.68-acre property bordered by Buford Highway, Britt Avenue, and Bostic Street.
Norcross and Gwinnett County are in discussion to relocate the existing library on Stevens Road to this spot with a 22,000 square foot one story facility at 5735 Buford Highway.
