The Norcross Economic Development department and city leaders will meet to discuss a proposed Tax Allocation District 7 p.m. Thursday at City Hall, 65 Lawrenceville Street. The effort to create a redevelopment area originates with the city’s 2011 Livable Centers Initiative, or Town Center Plan, and focuses on the downtown historic district, surrounding neighborhoods and commercial centers along Buford Highway.
The initial phase of redevelopment will focus on certifying a Tax Allocation District covering a smaller, 27.7-acre portion of the area and leaves room for future TAD’s if warranted.
