State highway contractors will close one right lane and one left lane on Ga. 400 northbound and southbound in Sandy Springs overnights Sunday through Friday as a preliminary to the reconstruction of the Ga. 400/I-285 interchange.

The lanes will be closed alternately from Glenridge to Hammond drives between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. “for geotechnical investigations and drainage cleaning and video,” according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The exact dates of the closures could change due to weather or other factors, GDOT said. The $800 million “Transform 285/400 project” affects 4.3 miles of I-285 from west of Roswell Road to east of Ashford Dunwoody Road, and 6.2 miles of Ga. 400 from the Glenridge to Spalding Drive.
