1. B. LexisNexis, one of the country's largest collectors of personal information on individuals and businesses, acknowledged recently that there was a breach, but said that so far there is "no evidence that customer or consumer data were reached or retrieved" by hackers. The breach appears to date back at least as far as April.

LexisNexis’ wide-ranging databases, which are built from public records and proprietary sources, are used for identity checks, employee screenings, debt collections and more. Its clients include government agencies, insurers, banks, media companies, corporate personnel offices and private investigators. The company has operations in Alpharetta, Atlanta and Duluth.

3. A. An escalated shoving match last Wednesday between the Braves and the Brewers occurred in the first inning after Braves catcher Brian McCann blocked the base path as Carlos Gomez neared home plate on a preening, trash-talking home-run trot that many say will live in infamy. Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman and Gomez were ejected, Freeman for throwing punches, which he strongly denied. Braves backup catcher Gerald Laird also was ejected, although it wasn't immediately known how his role differed from that of others who came off the bench.

4. C. Some hunters trapped and killed a feral pig Thursday night in the woods near the Stonebridge Woods subdivision in Lithonia.
