Dee Clemmons, who was elected recently to fill the District 2 seat on the Henry County Board of Commissioners, was sworn in Nov. 14 and took her seat at the Nov. 15 regular board meeting. Her predecessor, Brian Preston, resigned during the summer and the seat was vacant until the commissioners voted in a special called meeting Nov. 14 to appoint her to fill the remaining seven weeks of Preston’s term.

Clemmons will again take her oath of office next month to serve her regular four-year term, which begins Jan. 1.
