Nearly two decades after the original Scooter's Coffee opened in Bellevue, Nebraska, Marietta's first location opened Friday.
It's not the chain's first appearance in Georgia, though. Roswell is home to a sit-in and drive-thru Scooter's, whereas the Marietta location operates as a walk-up kiosk with a drive-thru window.
In addition to coffee, smoothies and tea, Scooter's offers food items including breakfast burritos, pastries and oatmeal.
Scooter's, which was named after the nickname a co-founder's daughter, now has 150 locations nationwide with 40 projected to open this year, according to the website.
