A new bank is opening its flagship location in downtown Tucker next week.

Company leaders said Tandem Bank will be the first local bank to open in Georgia in 11 years.

Tandem will be a full-service bank offering checking accounts, home equity loans and banking assistance for small business owners, the company said in a statement. The bank is organized by a group of 14 community members with ties to the Tucker and Decatur areas.

“The focus of the bank is to leverage technology to help individuals and businesses with their banking needs while providing the style of personalized service expected in a local bank,” the statement said.

The bank opens Monday, Sept. 23 and will be located at 2356 Main Street in Tucker.
