The Fulton County Board of Education has a new Northside representative. Katha (cq) Stuart was sworn in Tuesday afternoon as board member for District 1, which encompasses portions of Alpharetta and Roswell.
Stuart, a Roswell resident, has lived in District 1 for two decades. She’s volunteered with the PTA both locally and statewide and has served on several school governance councils. She’s also been on the superintendent’s Community Advisory Committee since 2009.
Stuart succeeds Linda Schultz, who stepped down last moth to begin retirement and will serve the unexpired portion of Schultz’s term, which runs through Dec. 31, 2016. She was picked by the board after officials invited interested candidates to submit resumes.
