Coffee and doughnut maker Dunkin’ and ice cream eatery Baskin-Robbins opened a second combination store Friday, giving away free coffee and ice cream samples.

The 2,100 square-foot restaurant is located on 2230 Marietta Blvd. in northwest Atlanta and opened at 5 a.m. Friday. The store’s first 100 customers received free coffee for a year, given in the form of 52 free coffee cards, according to a news release about the opening.

Dunkin' franchise network Coffee Café LLC and the company's Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation also gave Agape Youth and Family Center a $1,000 donation following a ribbon cutting ceremony. Located a few blocks from the restaurant, the center serves 200 school-age children year-round through in-school and after-school programs and provides programming for 40 senior citizens.

Guests at the store can try free samples of Baskin-Robbins’ flavor of the month, “Triple Mango,” through the weekend, according to the release. Also, from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, they can learn how to create sundaes using the eatery’s 28 ice cream flavors and various toppings, according to the release.

The store is also designed to save 25% more energy compared to a standard Dunkin’ restaurant. It will be open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

A combo store located on 1270 Spring Street opened Dec. 14. There are 18 such stores in Georgia.
