Neighbors in Gwinnett County reached out to Channel 2 Action News again because they said no one has addressed a burned-out home they said is an eyesore and safety hazard.

"Nothing has been done to it," neighbor Patrick Rutherford told Channel 2's Amy Napier Viteri. "As you can see the same car is still in the driveway, the same boards are still on front."

A fire damaged the home in April 2013 and neighbors said since then no one has cleaned up the mess.

They said someone has gone into the home, which is exposed on the back side, and stripped out the copper wiring.

"It's unbelievable that something like this would be allowed to fester in this condition," Rutherford said.

"When I have walked my dog at night I have seen flashlights sometimes or lights in there," neighbor Mark Merchant told Viteri.

In September 2013 the home's owner, Terry Bagwell, told Channel 2 Action News he would clean up the mess.

Viteri learned the county fined Bagwell $500 when that didn't happen by the end of the year, then issued a warrant and arrested him for failing to pay the fine.

In the meantime neighbors who live near the home worry about the long-term effects on their property values.

Viteri contacted Gwinnett County Planning and Development to see what the next step is for the home, but has not yet received an answer.
