The National Archives at Atlanta will debut “The Artifacts of Enslavement: The Shackles and Objects of Slavery" Feb. 18, as part of Black History Month.

The artifacts are from the private collection of Denise White Fields. The exhibit will remain open through April 14.

On that day, at 9 a.m., the Archive, will host a panel discussion on “Are You Gullah Geechee,” followed by the opening of exhibits featuring, historic photographs, storytelling, and musical performances.

The events will be held at the National Archives, 5780 Jonesboro Road, Morrow and are free and open to the public.
