MUST Ministries has been helping to address the core problems of suffering families in the north metro Atlanta area, including food, housing, healthcare, employment and clothing, for nearly 50 years. As the coronavirus pandemic has hit Georgia, more families are needing help, and MUST is working to provide for the basic needs of the community.

“In a time when the demand for food is at a heightened level, we are working virtually around the clock to try to meet the needs of those hungry in Cobb and Cherokee,” said Kaye Cagle, vice president of marketing and public relations at MUST Ministries. “Leadership is working to not only meet the current need, but also plan for the immediate future.”

Though MUST has ceased working with its more than 17,000 volunteers to reduce possible virus transmission, staff is being diverted from other programs to support the food rapid response programs, which includes family food boxes that provide a month’s worth of groceries to families or individuals in need.

“In our 49th year of service, MUST is rising to the challenge of the COVID-19 health and economic crisis,” said Cagle. “MUST was able to mobilize immediately to help the most vulnerable and will continue to operate food and housing programs until the crisis is over.”
