Servers, bartenders, cooks and more: Tighten up your resume for Wednesday's open call.
One of 2016's most anticipated restaurants—The Comet Pub & Lanes—is preparing for its debut in Decatur by hosting an open call Wednesday, June 29 from 1-5 p.m.
According to the restaurant's Facebook page, servers, bartenders, cooks, pizza makers, prep cooks and dishwashers are wanted.
Food preparers should have two years of experience from "scratch cooking" and the willingness to learn, while servers and bartenders should have at least two years of "high volume experience," according to the Facebook page.
Interviews will be done on site with training anticipated to begin after the Fourth of July.
This is the second open call The Comet Pub & Lanes has hosted so far.
The Comet Pub & Lanes, which is taking over the Suburban Lanes bowling alley in Decatur, comes from the Twain's Billiards & Brewpub team of Ethan Wurtzel, Uri Wurtzel and Ben Horgan.
The restaurant will don a menu featuring more than 50 bottles of beer, a full bar of custom, craft cocktails and chef-driven fare like hand-tossed pizzas, wings, burgers and more.
In addition to the 32 bowling lanes, the restaurant will also have two shuffleboard courts and three dart boards, according to the Facebook page.
