The Morrow City Council approved the city manager’s nomination of Roger Swint as its new fire chief. The previous chief retired in 2015.
In the same December meeting, the council approved the Georgia Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce as its destination marketing organization and authorized the mayor to negotiate the contract with the chamber. A destination marketing organization promotes an area to attract visitors.
Among the other items approved include a billing services agreement with EMS Management & Consultants Inc. regarding medical billing and collection services to medical transport providers; and a fiscal year 2017 Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant application for Mt. Zion Road.
