Fayette County’s Public Arts Committee is moving forward with plans for several major events in 2017. The all-volunteer committee has received concept approvals from the Board of Commissioners to develop another Chalk Art event in the spring and a second Balloons Over Fayette festival in June, plus a new series of lectures and/or workshops along with “Pop-Up” shows that will feature local visual and performing artists in temporary exhibits.

The committee also plans to partner with the Southern Conservation Trust on projects, such as birdhouse decorating, that foster environmental awareness.
