Authorities arrested two more men in connection with a fatal double shooting at a Brookhaven apartment complex.

Stephen D. McAllister, 24, of College Park and Quintez M. Griffin, 31, of Atlanta were booked in the DeKalb County Jail on Tuesday in the Nov. 30 killing of 25-year-old Carthel Lamont Johnson from Covington. Last week, Brookhaven police arrested Pierre Gregory Singletary, 34, in connection with the crime.

A second person, Roderick Lavelle Francois, 34, of Jonesboro, was injured in the shooting.

According to a police report, the shooting was likely the result of a drug deal gone bad.

Francois told police he and Johnson drove to The Mile apartment complex on Barone Avenue to buy marijuana. Once they were inside an apartment, two men they didn’t know tried to rob Francois and Johnson and began firing shots, the police report said.

After the shooting, Francois carried Johnson to his car, placed him in the back seat and drove him to a nearby Waffle House where police later found them, according to the report.

Francois suffered gunshot wounds to his left arm and hip. Johnson was shot in his left upper rib cage; he was taken to Grady Memorial hospital where he later died.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Griffin and McAllister shot at Francois and Johnson.

Griffin, McAllister and Singletary each face murder and aggravated assault charges, according to jail records. Griffin and McAllister also face armed robbery and possession of a firearm charges.
