Mitchell Street will be closed through Aug. 6 to continue improvements to the street and to the Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge. Infrastructure improvements including street widening, installation of sidewalks, curbs and gutters, signal improvements, street lights and restriping will occur during the closure.
The improvements are part of the realignment of Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive (east of Northside Drive) to accommodate construction on the new Atlanta stadium.

Mitchell Street south (right) on Northside Drive, west (left) on Tatnall Street SW, north (left) on Nelson Street (converted to two-way traffic), north (left) on Walker/Centennial Olympic Park Drive and then left onto Chapel Street SW, right on Mitchell Street.
Mitchell Street West Bound Route:
Mitchell Street SW left on Mangum, right on Chapel Street, right on Northside Drive back to Mitchell Street.
