An Alzheimer’s patient reported missing in southeast Atlanta Tuesday was found safe overnight, police said.

Randy Pippins, 60, was found by Atlanta police Zone 6 officers near the intersection of Charles Allen Drive and 9th Street, police spokeswoman Kim Jones said early Wednesday. He had been reported missing after last being seen around noon Tuesday on Memorial Drive.

Jones said Pippins was examined at Grady Memorial Hospital then transported back to his family.
