Milton invites the public to a groundbreaking ceremony in July for the city’s new Public Safety Complex.

The ceremony is set for 9 a.m. Thursday, July 18, at 13690 Highway 9. The complex will have two separate buildings: a new police department and municipal court in a 25,000-square-foot structure, and fire station with three vehicle bays in a 14,000-square-foot facility, officials said.

The project will create a permanent city presence in the Deerfield/Highway 9 District, officials said. Construction is expected to be completed in August 2020.

The police and municipal court currently occupy leased, commercial space at 13000 Deerfield Parkway, Milton’s former City Hall.
