City of Milton public works officials are encouraging residents to pay them a visit this week as they unveil plans for the Milton Trail System.

The drop-in session is set from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Milton City Hall, 13000 Deerfield Parkway. The consultant chosen to do the trail study will do an interactive polling exercise at 5:30 p.m. City officials said they want feedback on such topics as trail connection points and prioritizing system improvements.

The city’s hoping to first establish a connection with Forsyth County’s portion of the Big Creek Greenway, then build out from there. The project manager said the eventual goal is a unified trail system throughout the area.
