Milton residents can recycle their live Christmas trees at three locations – the city’s one-day “Bring One for the Chipper” event, and at two city partner sites that will be accepting trees on various dates.

Bring One for the Chipper is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, in the parking lot closest to Freemanville Road at Milton High School, 13025 Birmingham Highway.

Also, Scottsdale Farms Garden Center, 15639 Birmingham Highway, Milton, will take trees now through Jan. 5; while Green Brothers Earth Works, 3445 Francis Road, Alpharetta (just across the Forsyth County line), will accept trees now through Friday, Jan. 18. Both facilities are closed New Year’s Day.

Bring One for the Chipper is an annual event held throughout metro Atlanta. Sponsors include Home Depot, 11Alive/WXIA-TV, Davey Tree Expert Co., Keep Georgia Beautiful and the Georgia Forestry Commission. Information: https://bit.ly/1MDs4hh
