The city of Milton and Crabapple Community Association have partnered with an arts philanthropic group to present “Rock for Rescues,” described as a “family friendly music festival” to benefit animal rescue organizations.

The one-day festival of the Vox Artium Foundation is set for noon to 6 p.m., April 28, on Broadwell Road in Milton. The line-up of Atlanta-based bands includes Pony League, the Chip McGuire Band, a slow boat to china and Linnie and Amy Joy.

The free event will raise money from individual donors and sponsors, retail partners and event-day booth fundraisers. Net proceeds will be divided evenly among five rescue nonprofits: Special Equestrians of Georgia, Pilots ‘N Paws, Pets for Vets, Canine Cellmates and Furkids.

"Each of our selected nonprofits has a unique approach to animal rescue, which has proven engaging for the community as we have rolled out this festival," said Laura Jesseph, Rock for Rescues program manager. Information: https://www.rockforrescues.org/
