The six inaugural sports inductees for the Milton Wall of Fame at Bell Memorial Park will be unveiled Saturday morning, Nov. 2, at the park.

Milton is taking time to give a “good game” to some of the best athletes ever to sweat in the city.

The first six names will be etched into new Milton Wall of Fame on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

Each of the inaugural inductees are from Milton or were involved in youth recreational programming/high school athletics before excelling at their sports.

“The purpose of the Wall of Fame is to recognize and honor the achievement and success of deserving athletes, coaches, and contributors,” the city said.

A total of 15 people were nominated this year.

There was a nine-person selection committee comprised of all seven members of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and one representative each from Cambridge and Milton high schools picked by the principals.

The wall will be at Bell Memorial Park, 15245 Bell Park Drive.

"We're thrilled to have such a successful and well-rounded group as the inaugural inductees to our Wall of Fame," said Jim Cregge, city parks and recreation director in a news release. “The six being inducted were not only standouts on the field, but are also each a great representative of the city of Milton.”
