The city of Milton has a new chief of police.
City manager Chris Lagerbloom Monday announced the appointment of Steven Krokoff of Albany, NY. He replaces Deborah Harrell, who resigned in November to go into private industry work after nearly eight years at the helm.
A city of Milton news release describes Krokoff as a 22-year public servant, senior administrator and decorated law enforcement officer and said that while at the Albany Police Department, he created and implemented innovative crime prevention and reduction strategies.
Lagerbloon said Krokoff will take up his new duties in March.
