The Milton City Council has agreed to the purchase of one acre of land at Webb Road and Deerfield Parkway to create a small pocket park along one of the city's most heavily traveled areas. Council members voted unanimously Monday to pay First Citizens Bank $160,000 for the property which originally appraised for $560,000.

The city is using $100,000 from MARTA offset funds, awarded by the transit system to enhance ridership, to help with the purchase.
