It appears residents of Alpharetta and Milton will be going to the same digs to pay traffic tickets and deal with other municipal court matters.
The Milton City Council approved an agreement with the city of Alpharetta for lease and joint use of Alpharetta’s municipal court facilities at 12624 Broadwell Road in the Crabapple area.
City manager Chris Lagerbloom said the city will lease a former park and recreation department office in that building and modify it for Milton’s needs. The city of Milton will hold court sessions in the building Monday and Friday, while Alpharetta will convene court Tuesday through Thursday.
Lagerbloom said the agreement is for five years, with the provision for five one-year extensions, and that the city will pay Alpharetta $3,000 monthly for use of the space.
