A decades-old Midtown office building near the Woodruff Arts Center is slated to get a fresh new look.

Design firm ASD/SKY has proposed to renovate and complete a minor expansion of Pershing Point Plaza, which houses businesses such as FedEx, Anytime Fitness and Jimmy John's.

The building at 1375 Peachtree St. was constructed in the mid-80s and hasn’t been renovated since the 90s, according to proposal materials.

Renovations would include updates such as a “reimagined” lobby, a new third floor public “green” lounge and grassy areas along the sidewalk. A rendering shows the facade painted white, including the base portion that’s currently red brick.

Plans for renovations were presented to the Midtown Development Review Committee Tuesday. Proposals aren’t required to be approved by the DRC before going to city planners, but getting clearance before approaching the city is considered neighborly and can help expedite the processdown the road.
