On the night of his arrest, Atlanta police said Casey Joseph O’Halloran fought a Midtown burglary victim, stole the man’s wallet and began using it at multiple stores.

Saturday’s incident at a home on Ponce De Leon Avenue marked O’Halloran’s 41st arrest.

The victim told Atlanta police he was sleeping when he woke up to O’Halloran attempting to steal his television, police said in a Facebook post.

Police said the man fought O’Halloran, who eventually left the home with the man’s wallet.

He was arrested after a short chase on foot, police said.

O’Halloran remained in the Fulton County Jail on Tuesday afternoon on battery, burglary, robbery, card theft and obstruction charges. His 40 prior arrests included similar charges in Georgia and Texas., police said.
