The search continued Tuesday for a Middle Georgia State College student from metro Atlanta missing for nearly two weeks.
Jmaal Malik Keyes, 19, was last seen April 25 on his college’s campus in Cochran, according to campus police.
The freshman was reported missing by his family four days later.
“We called and called his cellphone,” sister Jalisa Keyes told Channel 2 Action News. “There was no answer; it went right to his voice mail each time.”
She said family members, worried that he wasn’t answering his phone, drove down to Cochran on April 28 “to see if everything was okay.” They found his dorm room undisturbed but no sign of Keyes.
Jalisa Keyes said her brother had no car or credit cards, and has no history of behavior or mental health problems.
Members of the family’s Austell church planned to go to Cochran Tuesday to hand out fliers. Destiny World Church has also put up a $3,000 reward for information leading to the missing teen’s safe return.
The GBI has joined campus police and the Bleckley County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation of the teen’s disappearance.
