ORIGINAL STORY:Spend a $1 and you could get $363 million in Friday night's Mega Millions jackpot.
The jackpot has rolled over 30 times since the March 11 jackpot, according to a release from the Georgia Lottery.
A winning $5,000 ticket from Tuesday’s drawing was sold in Ellijay. Three winning tickets from Wednesday’s drawing, worth $50,000, were sold in Buford, West Point and Douglasville, officials said.
The last winning jackpot — $157 million — happened March 8 in Washington.
Lottery players have a second chance to win millions in Saturday’s Powerball drawing, where a $2 gamble could win a $203 million payout.
Earlier this year, winners in California, Florida and Tennessee were treated to the biggest jackpot in Powerball history with $1.586 billion.
A single winner in each jackpot has the option to take a lump sum or 29 yearly payments.
Proceeds from both lotteries go toward education programs in Georgia, including the HOPE Scholarship and Pre-K programs.
More than 1.7 million students have received HOPE and more than 1.4 million 4-year-olds have attended Pre-K programs in Georgia.
