MARTA has fired a worker accused of tweeting a threat against President-elect Donald Trump.

Last month an unidentified woman with the Twitter handle @Yellabud tweeted "#AssassinateTrump," writing that she wished she could do it herself. Underneath the post was a picture showing Trump dead and riddled with bullets.

The Twitter account has since been deleted.

Following the news reports, MARTA suspended the part-time employee. MARTA spokeswoman Alisa Jackson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution the employee was terminated Wednesday “based on a violation of work rules.” She did not elaborate on which rules the employee violated.
