Marietta starts street improvements

Marietta is adding shade trees and wideing sidewalks on Cherokee Street from the Lawrence Street intersection to Dobbs Street. The upgrade is part of continuing efforts to make the central business district more attractive to visitors. The city previously added trees on Church Street and Powder Springs Street off the Marietta Square, and plans to plant trees along Mill Street next. The project is expected to be completed by by the end of April.
