Marietta officials have opened registration for the Citizens’ Government Academy.

This free seven-week course will begin on Feb. 28.

The course is designed to acquaint Marietta residents and business owners with the structure of city government and provide tours of city facilities by city staff.

A reception and graduation ceremony will complete the course at 7 p.m. April 11 at the City Council meeting.

The academy is open to any city resident or business owner over the age of 18.
