The Marietta Planning Commission will hold public hearings on three rezonings, a special land use permit and two code amendments at 6 p.m. Aug. 2 in the Council Chambers, Marietta City Hall, 205 Lawrence St., Marietta.

Commission recommendations will be referred to the Marietta City Council for expected final decisions at 7 p.m. Aug. 10 on these matters:

  • Rezoning of nearly 9 acres for Tyler Chandler Homes at 1400 Powder Springs Road from single-family residential with two units per acre to single-family planned residential development.
  • Rezoning of 5.7 acres for F & L Investments L.P at 2253 Northwest Parkway from Light Industrial (Cobb County) to Light Industrial (city) and a code amendment to change the future land use to Industrial Warehousing.
  • Rezoning of 3.75 acres for Wade Holdings at 2255 Northwest Parkway from Light Industrial (Cobb County) to Light Industrial (city) and a code amendment to change the future land use to Industrial Warehousing.
  • Special land use permit for a trash disposal facility at 325 Marble Mill Road by Republic Services.
