A Pollo Tropical in Marietta closed Monday after just over a year in business.

The 680 Johnson Ferry Road location did not make the cut after Pollo Tropical's parent company, Fiesta Restaurant Group, conducted a restaurant portfolio examination.

Luckily for Tucker, the recently-opened Lavista Road location is so far unscathed.

Texas took the brunt of the closures, losing eight of the Caribbean fast food spots. One also closed in Nashville, Tennessee, according to a news release.

Three of the closed locations are expected to be re-branded into Taco Cabanas.
