The Marietta Police Department is holding a Mass of appreciation and rememberance for all public safety workers.

"All faiths are welcome as we come together to show support and stand behind those that serve the community," according to the event invitation.

The Mass, which is planned to last an hour and a half, will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 87 Lacy St. NW, and starts at noon. District Attorney Vic Reynolds will be the guest speaker for the event.

Organizers suggest arriving early or carpooling because of limited parking. Contact Officer Freer at MFreer@mariettaga.gov or 770-794-5329 to RSVP or with questions.
