All post offices will be closed.
State troopers and communications officers will be working even though administrative offices at headquarters will be closed.
Banks
All banks will be closed. However, some metro Atlanta credit unions may be open. Visit your banking institution's Web site for details.
Schools
All public schools will be open.
If your child attends a private school, check with officials or its Web site to confirm whether your child's school will be having classes.
Commute
Customer service representatives report MARTA will be running its regular weekday bus and rail schedules.
About the holiday
The holiday is set aside to honor those who have served in the U.S. armed services. It is celebrated on Nov. 11, the same day the Armistice was signed in 1918, ending the fighting in World War I.
